Music
Scott Wareham
Throughout my nearly twenty years as a music educator, my ethos has remained the same: follow the child. Focusing on their interests, with knowledge adapted for students’ many unique challenges, I have guided hundreds of young people to a life filled with music far beyond their time in the classroom. focusing on the holistic aspect of music as a means of expression, stimulus relief and skills development in a fun and stress-eased environment.
“Music is my passion, but my purpose is to facilitate the betterment of the child.”

SOCCER
Little Kickers provides children with an early introduction to the fun and excitement of football to children aged from 18 months. The program was developed by a group of FA qualified coaches and school teachers. As a result, rather than focusing purely on football, the program incorporates a number of early learning goals. Valuable concepts such as sharing and teamwork are introduced in a fun environment.
We feel our classes are unique in the broad range of other benefits they offer. Very few classes offer children the opportunity to learn to play independently of their carer, to share in and work as part of a team and to simultaneously enhance co-ordination, mobility and general fitness, whilst having fun!
*You may ask why Little Kickers?*
Our company motto is “play not push” – we encourage children to learn sports through age appropriate play, rather than pushing them to become the football stars of the future.
*Little Kickers is world wide…*
Little Kickers is a franchised business that currently operates through a network of 300+ franchises, who run 3000+ classes, with 38 000+ children attending per week. Classes run in 32 countries of the world, including the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ecuador, Portugal, Australia, Hong Kong, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia to name just a few.
*Overview of the Little Kickers Activity Programme*
- A maximum of 10 – 12 children attend each class.
- The sessions are led by the Lead Coach who agrees the session programme with the Assistant Coach and sets up the venue. The assistant coach carries out a Daily Health & safety checklist on the condition of the venue and registers the children into the class.
- The session corresponds to the following generic programme: Warm-up, main section, then a cool down.
*Objectives of Little Kickers*
- To reduce the incidence of childhood obesity amongst the preschool age group in the countries in which we operate by providing kids with a positive introduction to exercise in order to engender a love of sport which will stay with them through their school years and into adulthood
- To build confidence
- To encourage the development of social and communication skills and enable children to obtain an introduction to the concept of working as part of a team
- Enhance a child’s appreciate of numbers and colours, and develop their motor co-ordination
*Classes….*
Our little ones love our classes as we make the classes fun by using imaginative games.
To name just a few…:
- Balls to feed the “lion”
- Protecting apples (balls) by balancing on the balls so that the “grizzly bear” does not eat the apples
- Stealing pancakes from the grizzly bear without the bear catching the player
- Jumping over the “hot fire” using cones and then scoring a penalty
- Running and touching the colour ladder using different colour cones
- Flying aeroplanes to warm up
- Crawling through the tunnel
Our approach that has bagged us numerous awards and helped us expand globally over the last 16years. And like all our Kickers, we never stop learning. We’re continually improving and updating our classes, based on feedback and input from child health specialists as well as our network of over 2,250 football coaches worldwide.
School Creed: SUCCESS
To laugh often and much.
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children.
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends.
To appreciate beauty.
To find the best in others.
To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition.
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
